Your exclusive entry to the Victoria Falls

Our Surroundings

For many of our guests, it is the Victoria Falls that calls them to explore this part of the world. The world’s largest falling curtain of water, it is a special attraction and lies only 30 kms downstream from our location on the Zambezi River in Zambia. About a 30 minute drive away, it makes for the perfect day tour, whether before, after or during your stay at Royal Chundu. Where our setting differs from the rest is our location – close enough to the falls themselves but removed enough to ensure privacy and exclusivity to the discerning traveller. On a 15km stretch of private waterway that unites Zimbabwe and Zambia, Royal Chundu is arguably the most luxurious way to experience the Victoria Falls, along with the diverse life of the Zambezi.

We are 50 kilometres from Livingstone International Airport in Zambia. GPS Co-ordinates: 17° 50′ 39.4800″ S, 25° 23′ 24.3600″ E

Protected by two sets of rapids, the only boats you might see belong to the lodge or local mokoro fishermen. Upstream from the lodge lies another spectacular landmark – the Chobe National Park, which can similarly be accessed on a day tour before, during or after your stay.

Contact us to find out more about planning an African itinerary that combines these top landmarks, as well as other nearby destinations, whether further afield in Botswana or to the south in the Kruger National Park.
